IT’S MARDI GRAS SEASON!

Our 32nd annual Navarre Beach Mardi Gras Parade will take place on Saturday, February 3, at 1 pm on Gulf Boulevard.  We’ve got a great lineup of floats and groups marching with us this year!  Be sure to join us for the best family friendly Mardi Gras celebration in the Panhandle!

Please note that Food Vendors will not be permitted during the parade this year.

The bridge closes early – whenever the sheriff’s department decides that it is necessary.  It usually closes around noon, but sometimes they close it earlier to incoming traffic.  Please be sure that you get there early. Bring chairs, snacks for the kids, and plan to make it a fun filled day!

Our Mardi Gras Ball will take place the week before on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Navarre Conference Center.  It’s formal, and it’s fun! Tickets are $35 each.  For more information, please see our Facebook page, or contact us at contact@nkoj.org

Here’s our 2018 Royalty! Left to Right: Charlene Tremor (Lester the Jester), Darrell Bailey (Grand Marshall), Rochelle Greenway (Queen of Hearts), Debbie Carrier (2018 Queen) Rick Tremor Jr (2018 King)

NKOJ Reaches Out to Help With Hurricane Harvey Relief

NKOJ Hurrican relief – one of four trucks sent to Houston. Pictured are Debbie Carrier, LeAnne Whichard, JoAnn Loftin, and Charlene Tremor

The Navarre Krewe of Jesters was happy to assist with Hurricane Harvey relief by collecting essential items to go to Texas for distribution among those affected by the devastating floods.  We know full well in this area what it is to survive a hurricane catastrophe!

We sent 4 truckloads to Texas carrying items donated by people from Navarre and the surrounding communities.  A big shout out to squadrons at Hurlburt field and our local military who have ongoing collections.  We were happy to carry some of their items.

A special thank you to 87 Garage for hosting the drop off and to Aitkens On Demand Lawn Care for loaning us the trailers.

This is really how you let the good times roll – or at least the better times ahead….
